The British Business Embassy, the biggest ever drive to attract investment into Britain, was set to launch with 4,000 business leaders, policy makers and investors at Lancaster House.
To demonstrate everything that was great about British Business, DIT required an in-event digital solution, an Android app, that would run natively on the new Samsung Tab, which was being launched at this event.
The digital solution would need to be available to all attendees, so a mobile web site version of the Android app would also be required.
Both the App and mobile website would need to connect to a central data resource via an API to facilitate real-time data updates, and the App would also need to integrate Augmented Reality (AR) with Aurasma.Read more
With less than 3 weeks for the entire development, both the app, mobile website and Content Managed API would need to be designed, developed and tested within a very short timeframe.
We were engaged to create a complete in-event digital experience at the British Business Embassy, which was delivered over 12 days.
The essence of the digital platform we provided, was to facilitate a cutting edge mobile & tablet application (both for web and native android) that would allow delegates to interact with the exhibits and conferences (using a mixture of AR, video, QR and NFC) and with other delegates via messaging and networking.
Due to the nature of the data being shared and the persons to whom the data belonged, there was increased security, especially around data persistence, a strict set of protocols were conceived and coded into the applications to facilitate a strong cohesive user experience whilst not compromising the individuals private data or security of their credentials.
The British Business Embassy coincided with the launch of the new Samsung tab, and in partnership with Samsung, we produced the application to run on this tablet, highlighting the new functionality and powerful array of features that the tablet provided.Back to the introduction
